Terms of Use
These Terms of Use (hereinafter "Terms") govern access to and use of the Mutal Toolkit application (hereinafter "the App"), available on the Apple App Store, and the mutal.fr website (hereinafter "the Website").
By downloading, installing or using the App, or by accessing the Website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App or the Website.

2. Description of the service
Mutal Toolkit is a mobile application designed for sound professionals and technicians working in film and audiovisual production. It offers the following features:
- Audio file management and playback (Script, Play, Slice, Files modules);
- Automatic sound triggering (Trig module);
- Consultation of authorised radio frequencies by country (RF module);
- Optical character recognition (OCR) on production documents;
- Discovery of audio equipment on the local network.
All data processing takes place locally on your device.
3. Access to the service
The App is available for download on the App Store. Some features may be available free of charge; others may require an in-app purchase or subscription, as indicated on the App Store at the time of purchase.
Using the App requires a compatible device (iPhone or iPad) running a supported version of iOS/iPadOS, as specified on the App Store listing.
4. User account
The App does not require a user account. No registration is needed to access its features.
5. Intellectual property
The App, the Website and all of their contents (source code, interface, text, graphics, logos, sounds, databases) are protected by intellectual property law and remain the exclusive property of the publisher or its licensors.
Any reproduction, representation, modification or distribution, in whole or in part, without prior written authorisation is prohibited and constitutes infringement.
6. Licence
The publisher grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the App, subject to these Terms and the App Store terms and conditions.
This licence does not confer any ownership rights over the App. You agree not to:
- Copy, modify, decompile or disassemble the App;
- Use the App for unlawful purposes or in breach of these Terms;
- Circumvent any technical protection measures in the App;
- Redistribute or sublicence the App.
7. User content
Audio files, documents and data that you create or import into the App remain your property. The publisher claims no rights over such content. You are solely responsible for the content you process through the App.
8. Availability and updates
The publisher endeavours to keep the App and the Website accessible but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Interruptions may occur for maintenance, updates or technical reasons beyond our control.
The publisher may release updates to fix issues, improve features or ensure compatibility with new iOS versions. Installing proposed updates is recommended.
9. Limitation of liability
The App is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:
- The publisher does not warrant that the App will be free from errors or bugs;
- The publisher shall not be liable for indirect damages, data loss or loss of business resulting from the use of or inability to use the App;
- The publisher's liability is limited to the amount actually paid by the user for the App in the preceding twelve (12) months.
These limitations do not apply where the law does not allow liability to be limited or excluded.
10. Purchases and subscriptions
In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. Billing, renewal and cancellation terms are governed by the App Store terms and your Apple ID settings.
For refund requests, please contact Apple Support in accordance with their refund policy.
11. Personal data protection
The processing of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms.
12. Links to third-party websites
The Website and the App may contain links to third-party websites or services. The publisher has no control over such sites and disclaims any responsibility for their content or practices.
13. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device. The publisher reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access in the event of a breach of these Terms.
14. Changes to these Terms
The publisher reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. The date of the last update appears at the top of this page. Continued use of the App or the Website after any amendment constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
15. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, the parties agree to seek an amicable resolution. Failing that, the competent courts of the publisher's registered office shall have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory legal provisions provide otherwise.
